Paris Roubaix is the Queen of the Spring Classics. Join us for the exciting "hell of the north" epic battle. This race is legend to the sport, casting a huge shadow over every classics rider who wants to win! With the opportunity to ride as many cobbled sections as you can stand, you won't be disappointed . The cobbled climbs of Flanders will seem smooth compared to what you will find in Northern France. You will get a chance to watch the professionals hard at work. Rain, mud, and wind are common reminders that you are in Belgium. Join us and find out first hand!
This cycling vacation, like all of our tours, will be hosted in charming, local villas which are small in scale and will help you feel submerged in culture. We will have the chance to ride some of the famous routes in Belgium before heading into France for the race and pre-ride. This long weekend trip allows you enough time to experience genuine European culture without compromising extensive vacation time.
Ride the cobbles in France and Belgium while adding some base miles to your spring training. Get an early start on the upcoming season when you join us for this year's famous Paris-Roubaix Race.
Itinerary
Thursday: Arrive in Brussels, Belgium. Upon arrival at the airport, bike and gear transport to the selected accommodations for your stay. Assemble bikes and take a casual ride (approximately 30-50 km/20+ mi).
Friday: Morning ride on isolated, country roads (60-80 km/50+ mi). Visit the city of Brussels for shopping, explore museums, and sight-seeing.
Saturday: Drive to Northern France, then ride the last few sections of rough cobbles (60-80 km/50+ mi). Watch for pros riding on the course for Sunday's race and maybe even get an autograph.
Sunday: Ride down to France (50-70 km/40+ mi) and establish prime cobblestone viewing location to watch the Paris Roubaix. Anxiously await the leaders and cheer them on as the excitement builds when the sponsor cars speed by.
Monday: Breakfast and early morning transport as we head back to the airport.
Other trip details
To secure your reservation please book at least sixty days prior to departure. Trips are capped at 14-16 people in order to keep the group size moderate and comfortable. Trips fill up so sign up early!
Weather in Belgium in the spring is very unpredictable. Please bring the appropriate riding gear for all weather conditions including rain, snow, cool temperatures, and brisk winds. You could be riding all day in unpleasant conditions. Please check our packing list for clothing recommendations. Please note, all mileage is dependant on weather conditions.
