About Us
As owners of Finish Line Cycling, we share a lifelong passion of cycling which positively takes up a majority of our lives! We avidly follow professional cycling news and watch racing coverage in person, online and on television.
We live and breathe cycling. We have ridden both mountain and road bikes for decades. Racing results include small town races in Wisconsin, and larger, well-known circuits in Ohio, Montana, and Colorado, as well as throughout Germany. For several years we have participated in many organized rides including Triple-By Pass, Elephant Rock, Buffalo Classic, and Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclosportif. We do frequent rides through hilly valleys, meandering along clear streams, and climbing steep roads throughout the Rocky Mountains all year long. Cycling is in our blood!

Guide Biographies
| Name: | John Chinkes |
| How long riding: | 29 years |
| First bike: | Huffy BMX, I think, we painted it black and did not replace the stickers |
| Favorite Ride: | From my house up Coal Creek Canyon, then back to Boulder and home |
| Favorite Racer: | Jens Voigt |
| Comments: | I have been riding since I was six, I learned at a friends house. He lived at the bottom of two hills and you could coast down one and most of the way up the other. So I started learning how to pedal up to the top of the other hill so I could keep riding. Since then I have been racing all over the US and even a little in Europe. Mostly not winning but a few times, ah, it is nice to be first. Knowing the effort it takes to win at my level I love watching the professionals dueling it out! |
| Name: | John Twa |
| How long riding: | 30 years |
| First bike: | An orange Schwinn... not a very memorable bike. |
| Favorite Ride: | 2006 mountain bike tour through the Indian Himalaya |
| Favorite Racer: | Geoff Kabush |
| Comments: | The only reason I ride my bike is so that I can eat Pop-Tarts, drink Belgian beer, and still fit into my britches. Oh, and I like shaving my legs too. |
| Name: | Lynnda Chinkes |
| How long riding: | 25 years |
| First bike: | I bought a ten speed, powder-puff blue Huffy with my babysitting money when I was a teenager. It was fun test riding it in the parking lot at the bike shop, and after I got it home I insisted that I keep it inside. |
| Favorite Ride: | Riding a century with friends up to our cabin on the lake, and after arriving carbo-loading on pasta. |
| Comments: | The freedom of riding a bike was fascinating to me as a kid. Getting my first bike under the Christmas tree and riding it around the basement during the cold winters sure was exciting. My enthusiasm has carried over to adulthood so I continue riding my road and mountain bikes. |
